INGREDIENTS
125g butter
½ to ¾ cup sugar
1 large cup flour
1 dessertspoon milk
1 dessertspoon golden syrup
1 teaspoon baking soda
STEPS
- Melt syrup and milk together and when nearly cool add soda and beat until frothy.
- Cream butter and sugar add golden syrup mixture mix well.
- Add flour. If mixture is too soft to roll add a bit more flour.
- Roll into ball or place spoonfulls onto cold paper lined tray and press with a fork. Cook at 125 to 150c.
