INGREDIENTS
6 egg whites (try to use the ones that have not been in a fridge or too fresh)
¼ teaspoon white vinegar
½ teaspoon vanilla or almond essence
Pinch salt
350g caster sugar
If high humidity add 1 dessertspoon of sifted cornflour.
STEPS
- Beat egg whites and salt until stiff
- add sugar in four lots making sure dissolved before adding more.
- Add vinegar and essence near the end. If using cornflour fold in at the end.
- Place on papered tray bake in low oven about 100c for 1 to 1 ½ hours leave in oven to cool.
